In an adaptation by artistic director Gilbert Laumord, the SIYAJ Company of Guadeloupe performed the first full-scale performance (to our knowledge) of this play since 1971. It opened at the Artchipel in April 2022 and has been performed at various festivals and theatres in Guadeloupe and Martinique. You can access the original program at the Artchipel here. As Laumord continued to work on his adaptation and the mise-en-scène, the company performed in the following venues: - On May 12-13, 2023, Laumord’s adaptation was staged at the Centre culturel Sonis in Guadeloupe. Segal Theatre Center hosted a conversation, moderated by Frank Hentschker, about the play and the SIYAJ Company’s adaptation. You can find this conversation here. - On April 28, 2024, Laumord’s adaptation was presented as the opening show of the Festival Cap Excellence in Guadeloupe You can find the program to this event here.
